Bikram Yoga
Bikram yoga is based on Hatha yoga where you hold the poses. It consists of 26 poses and 2 breathing techniques. This for of yoga is great for beginners. As it’s always the same poses in the same order. So you can get a sense of your progression.
Is Bikram for you?
People that enjoy Bikram Yoga are people who have busy and intense jobs. That one gets to take an hour or 90 minutes of the day for themselves where they don’t have to make decisions and get told what to do.
Due to the heat which can be very challenging at the beginning, it builds cardiovascular strength and mental strength. Improves spinal health, balance and flexibility. With a great plus of being able to shred weight.
Feel the heat
The class is in a heated studio. Where the studio gets to 40 degrees centigrade and 40% humidity. So you will sweat a lot during this class. Which helps release toxins and impurities through the skin.
It is a listen oriented practice, where do want you hear. So it can also be called “military yoga”. Students put 100% effort into each pose and then relax in between poses. So that the body can receive the maximum benefits.
